Fredrick Oduor | Kenya
Fredrick Omondi Oduor has eight years' work experience in the public and private sectors of Kenya. A member of the African Association for Public Administration and Management, Fredrick has competence in public administration, policy analysis, conflict resolution, and government affairs in Kenya. He lobbies and partners with government agencies and non-governmental organizations to initiate and facilitate socioeconomic development programs that empower people in rural and marginalized areas. The programs he champions fund business start-ups, implement environmental conservation measures, promote peacebuilding and conflict resolution, expand road infrastructure, drill boreholes, dig water pans to ensure food security for humans and livestock, and train local leaders and build their capacity. He disseminates policies to communities and builds grassroots mobilization for their implementation. Fredrick is currently registering the Pax-Africana Youth Initiative, a community-based organization, which will streamline the implementation of his programs. He holds a master's degree in Public Policy and Administration and a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Fredrick hopes to use the Mandela Washington Fellowship Network to partner with other organizations and secure funds for his programs, which are changing lives and making the world a better place.
